Wool sweater shrunk in the wash. What now?

Let the sweater soak for half an hour in lukewarm water with a generous splash of hair conditioner or baby shampoo. This makes the wool fibers supple. Gently squeeze out (do not wring), lay flat on a towel, and gently stretch to the original size. Let it dry like that. Washing it hot again will only make it smaller.
